So a new adventure is about to begin. Having visited Africa three times in the last year, I really felt I should explore a new part of the world. Accordingly, I have booked a small group tour to Costa Rica. I am again travelling solo but am sure there will be interesting company amongst my fellow travellers. The tour starts in the capital San Jose and from there we will make our way to Tortuguero National Park on the Caribbean coast. Over the course of the next two weeks we shall travel from east to west eventually arriving at the Pacific.
En route I hope to encounter a huge array of bird life, definitely howler monkeys, and if I am lucky – a sloth or two! I hope to improve my photographic skills and will need to; photographing birds is always a challenge.
I have checked into a hotel at Gatwick so I shall be well rested for the 12 hour flight tomorrow. I am enjoying a nicely chilled glass of Chardonnay accompanied by some tasty tapas and am definitely entering holiday & adventure mode. Bring it on!!
