Our trip will start in San Francisco. We aim to drive up the West Pacific coast through California and Oregon. We shall finish this leg in Seattle then fly to Calgary to experience the Calgary Stampede. From there we fly to Traverse City via Chicago to stay with friends on the north end of Lake Michigan. Very little is pre-booked as we want to be flexible with our itinerary.
I am very much looking forward to exploring the wilderness areas and seeing some magnificent scenery and giant trees. I should also like to see a bear – but not too close!!
