Guyana is soon to change with the drilling of huge oil reserves, but currently it is still a country very much off the tourist trail. The land mass is 80% pristine rainforest with a single dirt road connecting the capital Georgetown, on the north coast, with Brazil. There are exotic birds….

… the world’s largest single drop waterfall by volume. It is roughly four times taller than Niagara Falls…

…and some weird and wonderful animals!

We shall start our adventure in Georgetown, then fly to the rainforest and finally explore the savannah close to the border to Brazil before returning to Georgetown for our flight home.
